Life can be meaningful. Life can be a grandeur. Life can be magnanimous. But the primary condition is to first know your True nature. The beauty, the joy, the celebration that one Experiences after knowing the self can never be expressed in words. Man lives in the shadow of his own personality. This personality is created by layers & layers of beliefs given by the society, family, the conditioning given by the so called religion, the knowledge imparted by the school, institutions. Only when one garners the courage to shed this pseudo self that he can experience his real nature. Seeker has to figure it out what it is that is of his own & what it is that is given by the society. When he goes deep into understanding then he finds that there is nothing his own that he can call. The only thing that he owns is his silence, rest of all is his conditioning. Re-discovering oneself is the real essence of Zen. And that is Enlightenment. Enlightenment doesn’t destroy the man but it destroys the false shadow of the man that he carries thru’ generations. To be true, nobody comes as an obstacle to experience the Buddhahood except the man’s own shadow. Enlightenment is the moon reflecting itself in the silent water.
